The International Market
On Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., from May until November, shoppers flock to the International Market in the City Hall Courtyard. Based on the prototypical French market, Bensidoun USA has fashioned a diverse, open-air shopping experience in 11 American cities (White Plains is the only one on the east coast). White Plains hosts cheese, cured meat, pickle and international goods vendors, farmers and bakers, and the occasional musician in the lot adjacent to Main Street. Clockwise from upper left are: Michelle Sikorski buying bread; Minerva Martinez selecting parsley; Amelia Luliano checking her produce.
